During PADA Residency, Lisbon I made this sculpture at the waste depot of Companhia União Fabril (CUF) industrial park in Barreiro. This area turned out to be a source of usable material; industrial waste is collected here daily and neatly separated (wood, cardboard, polystyrene, plastics) in large quantities. I visited the area daily to bring material to the PADA studios, but dragging it in the blazing sun took a lot of time and energy. So I decided to make a sculpture on the spot with the material I had at hand, without tools or other aids and within the time I could stand it in the heat. By early afternoon a strong gust of wind put an end to the work.
